The Custom Publishing System from RR Donnelley is designed to maximize a publisher’s ability to deliver custom-assembled books with time and cost savings. Through our Internet-based system, we begin to process a custom publishing order as soon as it is received. The system lets users select the content, sequence it in the book, choose a table of contents and index style, and a cover. Upon completion, an electronic order is generated for customer in-house approval. All of the content is clearly available online, and every page can be viewed as an Adobe Acrobat PDF file so users can page through a book before final output. The book is automatically built with customized running heads, feet, folios, table of contents, and indexing.
The Custom Publishing System eliminates the time and money it costs to cut books apart, mask out page numbers and create a new table of contents for each title. Our system allows you to enter a title and preview the cover design online. Since all of the content that is managed by the Custom Publishing System is digital, you get first-generation output quality every time. Source materials are adjusted in advance to ensure that they maintain a consistent style for common page elements.
